My doctor wants to put me on Prozzac?

Question:
My doctor recently gave me a prescription for Prozzac for my depression and extreme PMS. I haven't started taking it yet but I am nervous. I read that there are a lot of side effects and I don't want it to affect my occasionally bubbly personality. I am a usually outgoing person but have occasional outbursts of depression will it affect me and make me boring and lazy? I am just looking for advice on the topic.

Answers:
I have PMDD; a sever form of PMS. I take Zoloft faithfully and it has helped immensely! I also avoid carbs, alcohol, and take B vitamins and iron (only the week of).

Other Answers:
If it were me, I wouldn't take it. Trust your gut and instinct!

Blah. Doctor's opinions are bought and sold by Pharmaceutical company's and HMO's. They are just trying to get you on a "product" that you "need" to overcome your basic human emotions. I say BLAH again. Don't buy it! You are fine and healthy. Tell him to **** off and seek for other phisician advise. It's gonna keep you in a mental limbo. Don't do it.

you should take therapy first for like 2 months and if you dont feel better you can take the prozac..
