Hypnotherapy for Anxiety?
Question:
Answers:
Hypnotherapy can be very sucessful. A friend recently gave up smoking thanks to hypnotherapy.
Some people are recicent to try hypnotherapy or hypnosis because they worry the hypnotherapist will have some sort of magical power over them or will be able to reveal their darkest secrets. However, you retain full control throughout the entire hypnotherapy session.
Another alternative is Neuro-Linguistic Programming. This is a therapeutic process which enables you to break old patterns and generate unlimited potential using posture, breathing, specific exercises, awareness and communication skills.
I myself have tried Paul McKenna's Change Your Life in Seven Days. I didn't find the book particularly useful but the audio CD is. In the CD, Paul repeats lots of postive, life affirming statements. When I listen to it, I feel much more positive and motivated. Paul's voice is very relaxing and it also helps me to reach a state of deep relaxation.
Paul has another book/CD called Instant Confidence which may be useful for you.
A CD of this type is a great introduction to hypnotherapy. There are many on the market but I found Paul's to be the best - simply because I like his voice (some of the others have awful accents so it is hard to concentrate!) Give it a try. If it works for you, great! If not, no harm done.
if ur sense of anxiety is based on hereditory, sry no... if its not, u hav a chance
