How thin is the borderline between unique and weird?

Question:

Answers:
People are unique, period, regardless of any eccentricity or lack thereof. It's well known. In spite of the fact that 99% of our DNA is identical across the board, no two people are exactly alike, not even identical twins!

As for "weird"..eh, it is a label people use to describe what they don't care for or care to understand. I can take it or leave it.

My friends offline tell me I am the weirdest person they know, but that is only because I have a really rare eccentricity.online among folks like myself with this eccentricity, I am actually one of the *least* weird people they know because the rarity cancels out and people look at the rest of the person, which leaves me looking rather ordinary by comparison. It is all context.

Unless you are Michael Jackson, dammit, he IS weird. I mean, detachable *noses*? That just ain't fun..:S

What!!

have a look in the dictionary they is completely different words

It depends on who you are with. It's all a perception. Unique has a purpose. Weird doesn't have one. The same ratio as tastes funny and tastes bad.

It is just as thin, transparent and curved as the borderline between diplomacy / politics / hypocresy. It is not the same, but it's hard to tell where one begins and the other ends.

I define unique as something neat and different (one of a kind). I define weird as something odd and out of place that just isn't right. Its like unique is when you find something different and its one of a kind such as a rare gemstone. Weird is when you find something that you do not think is human and in a sense is bad for being different and is something you can explain but its more like "why would you do that? or wear that?" and can ask questions about it because its controlled by someone or something.

There is no borderline, unique and weird is a matter of preception, to come up with this question is neither unique or weird just dumb. Unique. wierd. who the hell cares?! Either way, they still stare.

It is so thin as to be almost imperceptible. Even the diagnosticians in psychiatric and mental health clinics get it wrong a helluva lot more times than they'll be willing to admit to, so, enjoy, so long as you don't get in trouble with the law. God Bless you.

There is none. We are all both. We are able to act normally, but we are all oddly wierdly unique. The only real line is the one between socially acceptable and socially unacceptable, and that line moves around all the time. If you pay attention to the people around you, you will see lots of unique and lots of weird, and you will also get a sense of how to act within the limits of social tolerance. If we just did what we felt like or wanted whenever we wanted to, that would be some awesome weird s**t, I can tell you that.

To quote John Irving, "keep passing open windows." 'Weird' is completely relative. I've known my whole life that certain people find me 'weird' - I can recognise it in their eyes. I try to wear it as a badge of honour.

I think that everyone who is great and who has tried to make a difference in the world is seen by some as 'weird'. If no one were 'weird', then life wouldn't be worth living!
