Is Alcoholics Anonymous a bunch af BS?
Question:
Answers:
If it helps one person sort some part of their life out, what can be wrong with that?
Also, there are people now who would bet their life on it, who have been a part of it for most of their life and depend on it for survival. It's been around too long to go defunct.
It's only been a failure for the people who go there because 90% of them have no real desire to quit drinking anyway. It is very positive and reassuring for the people who actually wanna quit. And I think it's nothing wrong with a little religion being pushed around on people because it is defintely what we all need anyway. If you don't have a real desire and dont make a real commitment nothing is going to work. I know people who have went and had great success and ended up as a counseler themselves. It's really all up to the individual.
