How can he deal with his feelings better?

My friend has had a lot of bad things happen in his life. He is trying to make peace with it all, but he holds his feelings inside. Then he gets frustrated and very angry. What is a better way that he can express and deal with his feelings?

the problem with a question like this is that there are a thousand different ways to answer it.

A religious person will tell you that he needs their religion in his life to help him better deal with his problems and find himself.

A sheep in the flock of society will tell you that therapy will help him find peace and deal with his emotions.

A doctor will shove pills in his hands and bill him for them.

An Alarmist will tell him it's all in his head, or that our shallow society isn't allowing his self-fulfillment like it does for the rest of the flock.

You ask a hundred different people and you'll get a hundred and one different answers.

so instead of asking people that don't know your friend, talk it over with him, ask him what he thinks will work and what he wants to try. If he wants to go to a therapist let him decide. And if screaming into a pillow is his thing and that works for him, there is no reason some anonymous person on Yahoo! needs to tell him otherwise.

Find God - He will listen to all of his problems & if he wants God will help him. I believe that!
He can write things down, the good and bad feelings. Later he can go back and read it, see how he feels, write down what he can do the change things or accept it. see how he feels now. Just what he can do, nobody else. He can start with him and work on makling things better. Accept things that he can't change. If this fails, he needs to seek proessional help.
intense one on one therapy will probably do the trick. he also should look into support groups.
