Contact the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) at bacp.co.uk. They have lists of therapists in all areas who all work within their ethical framework and so can be relied upon to meet certain standards. Contact details and price structures will be included on the web site.

I can only give an approximation as widely variable;

A course of CBT is usually between 6 - 12 weeks
at an approximate cost of £45.00 per session.

Other forms of counselling can take considerably
longer and has a widely varying time scale as does
psychotherapy. The cost however ( per session )
will be similar.
