Question:
ok we have 2 eyes,,why can't we read the paper and watch tv at the same time?,why, why, why!!

Answers:
so when you get punched in one eye for asking a stupid question you can still see.

Other Answers:
NO KIDDING! they move together! we might as well just have one!
We have two eyes for depth perception.
Because our tiny brains can't focus on two things at once.
You can't watch tv and read the paper at the same time?
God gave us two eyes, you can only do one thing at a time.
cause your brain cant focus on two things like that at once one eye wouldnt give you periferal vision
So we see twice as much .OK
We have two eyes to have a sense of depth. With one eye we would lack a sense of depth and couldn't place an object on a table 10 feet away from us without dropping it on the floor a few times.
depth perception
It allows us to have what some call a 'crossover vision'. It's when the visual ranges of each eye meet allowing us to have a clearer and wider vision of sight. Imagine each eye has a visual range in the shape of a triangle (starting with your eyelid, the tip of the triangle stretches wide to as far as your eye can see) and you should see what i mean.

Having dual eyes is much better than having one eye. If you have only one eye put in the center like the mythical cyclops, it makes it a little hard to see everywhere as not only you have one range of vision, but you need to literally turn your eye to see what's at the far left/right corner without having to turn your head unless neccessary.
that's what God wants us to have...and doing two things at a time will destroy what he gave to us so take good care of it!!!!bye!!!!!
okay, A. think logically, and B. two is always better than one, right? okay the real answer is...

we have two eyes because, if we only had one, then things would look entirely different. we wouldnt be able to decipher what is big from small, tall from short. its basically depth preception. now, if you tried to read the paper and watch tv at the same time, then people would be, to put it simply, "put together" differently. our brains would have to be two times bigger to seperate the immense amount of data that would be flooding our brain. humans would also have to have a totally different muscular and skeletal structure. your eyes would have to be able to move in different directions. now, certain people CAN do this, so its not entirely impossible. also, our skeletal structure would have to be much bigger to hold up our ginormous heads. legs and arms would be longer, necks stronger, the entire breast and mid section would have to be different. we may look as if we have gigantism, which is a disease that makes everything HUGE. your height, facial features... you can grow to be over eight feet tall. even your voice changes.

in conclusion, we cant watch tv and read the paper at the same time because humans just werent designed that way.

Better to see you with my dear....

Just kidding. I think it has something to do with how our brain interprets what we see. But, could you imagine how funny looking we would be with just one?
Onion is witty! Anyway, actually, you have 3 eyes. You do.
The eyes are synched to give 3-d images. It is possible to look at 2 things, but it is tiring and the eyes soon tune one out.
That's SOOOOO funny!
There was an old comedienne, I can't remember his name, but his eyes did exactly that, and it used to totally freak me out !!
I used to wonder if he could see from both directions ! LOL !!!
Thanx for the laugh! I needed that !
