Any natural cures for anxiety? Don't want all the side effects of drugs.?

Question:
Serious answers only please. I have a baby son and get really bad anxiety while drving...

Answers:
Yes. I found that exercise and eating well works for me to alleviate anxiety. The key to dealing with it is recognizing it, saying "ok", I'm anxious but the feeling is just that, a feeling and moving on. It takes time.

What happened with me was that I read Tony Robbins book and he helps put a lot of things in perspective. He also helps you to deal with phobias and get control of your mind and body. You should check it out.

I was like you, didn't want to take drugs....I felt that taking drugs would admit to myself that I had a problem that required drugs to alleviate when in fact I didn't think that was the case and it was not.

I still experience anxiety....now I deal with it rationally.

Other Answers:
without a doubt: Yoga... if you take it seriously... and you learn it well, it will be your best friend....

Good luck!!
Prayer.
Meditation and deep breathing exercises. Bach flower rescue remedy is great for just before doing something that you know will make you anxious.
Herbal treatment is the best alternative for anxiety disorders.

Try using green tea (naturally caffeine free), St. John's Wart works wonders (use as directed).

Make sure to maintain a steady diet and healthy exercise regiment.

Good luck, and good health.
Valerian is a good herb to help with relaxation but you should only use it when you really need it. and it's best when taken before sleep.
DON'T take it before driving, it can make you sleepy. As an herb it smells awful so be sure to keep in in an airtight container. It's best mixed with chamomile (at least that's my experience) and brewed as a tea.
Or you can find it in capsule form at health food stores.

Meditation is also very good; it takes practice but you will see results. Check out this website too because it gives a lot of information on remedies for anxiety http://altmedicine.about.com/cs/conditionsatod/a/Anxiety.htm

Good luck to you and take care

for anxiety/depression is FASTING! there are many great books
dealing with the ancient art of fasting as it is very bebeficial for
the cleansing of the body and relaxing the central nervous system.

alchoholic drinker, this may be difficult a first, but it can be done!!
