Depression?

Question:
i think I may have a mild case of depression. I just don't care anymore, don't want to do anything, and am always eating(even if I'm not hungry). I was diagnosed with post-partum depression 5 years ago, but this is different. I am moody, sometims laughing and joking around, and other times angry or down. I'm not sure why I feel this way-and don't know from one minute to the next who I'm gonna feel. I also am constantly tired, although I have trouble falling asleep. There has not been anything dramatic that has happned, no one has died, and I actually ahve less stress now than I have all summer. So why do I feel this way, and what can I do to help it? I don't want to be on medications, and I don't want this to get any worse. How do jelp myself? i',m just not happy.

Answers:
Go to your doc and have your hormones checked. It may just be an imbalance or an indicator that something else is going on in your body...for example, my friend did the same thing...went to the doc...hormones were off balance because she had a cyst on her ovary that was affecting the balance. After meds to dissolve the cyst she was back to normal.

You may have a hormonal imbalance. Best thing to do would be go to the doctor.
The Homeopathic Remedy IGNATIA 30C is one of the most effective remedies for mood swings and depression take it thrice a day half hour before or after meals and do let me know about the results after taking it for three days.
Take care and God Bless you
How long ago did you have a kid? I read your last question, and that might have something to do with it.
i went through that, too. try to fight it somehow...if you really can't cope with it, go see a RELIABLE psycologist

Godspeed!
Sounds like classic depression to me...
See a dr. You may be having some hormone imbalance issues that could lead to it too. S/he can do several blood tests to check for hormone levels, thyroid function, and diabetes. After that, you may be put on medication. I know you don't want to be, but think of it this way: why suffer when there are alternatives? There are at least 200 antidepressants out there, ONE of them is bound to work for you.

Good luck and Hang in there!
Two things I know of will help. Well three if you count the will to change, seeing as we are what we create ourselves to be.
1) Excercise. Excercise is almost meditative in a lot of ways. Also, it should be strongly noted that depression inhibits neurogenisis, which is intrinsicly linked to learning and memory. Exercise too is strongly linked to neurogenisis, and is one of the few known ways to increase neurogenisis in lab mice (prozac and similar anti-depressants also have an obvious effect in increasing neurogenisis).
2) Meditation. Meditation helps you clear your mind off all the bullcrap. Most things we get stressed out about are really trivial when we reflect on them in the greater picture of our lives. I would suggest googling some meditation techniques. It will also help with your concentration and awareness. Hope this helps!

P.S. Also, light levels effect depression. Get out in the day more!
I am suffering from moderate depression and you need to seek professional help. I did and it was the best thing I could have done for myself. I did not want to even admit I was suffering from it. I go to counseling every week and I do take medication and it really helps me. Try to find a counseling center where you live. Trust me it will be well worth it to try it. Some areas even have free clinics to go to if you cant afford to pay.
