i have been depressed lately and i need someone to help me.?

Question:
I have been fighting a fear of eternity and finally came to cope with it and i'm a christian probably not the best one in the world but still one. I know also though no one knows for certain what the truth of what happens after death is. so whatever may happen after then i will just will have to wait till then. And whatever may happen will happen and there's nothing i can do to change that and i have been cheered up in the good things that i've came to hear about the after life. But soon as i get cheered up a little while later i will get sad and depressed again for no reason and i try to keep the idea's that made me happy in the first place in mind but they no longer help. What can or should i do to get out of this depression and sadness.

Answers:
do you have anything else in your life that you can focus on other than immortality a special friend partner any one or thing that can give meaning to your life .i will tell you why you see everybody needs a reason for being and whilst we are pursuing this destiny being wanted gives us a reason to live a reason to get up in the morning and to look at life more positively to feel that life is worth living .i agree with the other comments that you may need help from your medic but to have a reason for being weather big or small can make a great difference in how we look at life .god bless and take care we all make a difference in this world .

I would respectfully suggest that you see your doctor and share what you have shared here. Perhaps you need more than what Yahoo can provide.

Good luck!

Go see a counselor or psychiatrist. Getting help for this kind of stuff DOES NOT make you crazy. These feelings will probably not get better on their own. First, seek a counselor you can trust, a professional, a friend, an older person, rabbi, minister, whoever. Then repeat this to yourself:
"I am a totally unique person. There has never been, and will never be, a person exactly like me. I am important; I am not insignificant. If I live my life correctly, and be a good and useful and helpful person, then I will have no worries about my death."

Well it's a good thing you aren't just sitting there and letting yourself sulk. I personalyl feel that you shouldn't be afraid of death or eternity. Eternity is not a fact. Nothing lasts forever so why should death? Death can actually be quite pleasurable. Do something for someone that makes them smile and you can say "I did something before I died that was good." Make it a habit to do good things and you will have a thousand reasons to pass on before you actually do.

Hi there, I dont know your age but here is my 2 cents. This is based on my life experience and observation of others. Most everyone at some point in their life thinks about and wonders about the afterlife. It's ok to think about it.but don't dwell on it. Enjoy your day to day life and realize that life is like a roller coaster; full of ups and downs, loops and sharp curves. If you think depression is a problem, talk to your doctor. They can perscribe you something to help you get over the humps. Don't wait until you are severely depressed before seeking some help. There is no shame in it. Take care and let me know how you are doing. be a volunteer. do something for others and you'll feel good about yourself. you'll also meet people with values similar to yours- a good basis for lasting friendships. and did you know those who volunteer tend to live longer than those who don't? also as a christian we all battle the same fears we are only human, but as you know God said to put others first and to do things for them so by volunteering it could be doing God's work as well as helping you good luck.

A fear of death can be healthy. What happens when you die? Your body is dead and rots into nothingness and begins to push up flowers. Your soul is another story as you seem to believe.

It is not your fault. Depression is caused by an imballance in brain chemicals just as a diabetic needs insulin a person with depression needs medication for their brain chemicals.
You need to see a doctor MD and tell them about how you are feeling. Please do not feel embarrased. Many people feel this way. You will feel better. It seems complicated, but it is not. Getting help is christian. The way it is said is that God gives us doctors. Go to the doctor and get treated. You are a very good Christian I am sure. God has put good people on the earth to help us. People have discovered amazing cures with medications. You can get better. See a doctor or Psychiatirst they can help you get back to your self and celebrate your life again. Perhaps you will have the energy to help others when you feel better. If you are thinking of killing yourself go to the emergency room immediately.
God Bless you. If I am not wrong, you have prepared yourself for the worst that you even think of the afterlife, correct me if I am wrong, lots of people get sad for no reason but they do actually have, however saying that you have depression may not be too appropriate for unless your doctor certified that you are suffering from that condition.

If you are saying that you feel sad for no particular reasons, then I suspect that its because of low-self esteem or there isn't a goal in your life which makes you feel tired and bored with your current living situation and that can bring lots of stress to a human being.

While there are many different ways to cope with it, I would suggest that you do some exercise like jogging.etc, you will feel more refreshed and thats when you can think clearly of how you gonna overturn your problem. Hope this helps. get pro help. also exercise. try depression-helper.com and holistic-online.com for stress.
