has anybody experienced having a child with autism and or epilepsy having fits with the colour yellow?

Question:
I have a friend who has a child with autism and epilepsy.
They thought the child ( who is disabled and unable to talk) loved the colour yellow but have recently found out that the colour yellow was a stimuli and it gave her fits.
Does anyone have more information about this or know of any good websites where I can find more information about this or maybe have dealt with this problem themselves?

Answers:
I don't know if your looking for info specifically on the visual hypersensitivity or just on autism in general. I would recommend contacting the connections center. Dr Gutstein has developed an amazing program. You can get more info at rdiconnect.com

Also there was a link on the autism research institutes website. Dr Kaplan did some pretty interesting work.

Other Answers:
My nephew has Autism, and Fragile X. He can't stand the color yellow, and he can't stand gloves. He goes around looking for gloves, and if he finds them he goes crazy. He has crazy fits. My best advice is to try to hide anything yellow from him. Try it as best as you can.
