Could it be that he really is crazy and even knows it?

Question:

My husband has had many ups and downs in his moods that always affect everybody... Last thing that happened was that he overheard my mom say he was crazy and since then we have not talked to my parents. He doesn't want anybody to comment on the way he is w/ the children not even me. NOW the thing that is worrying me is that now he is upset at HIS mom. Her brother died and he is happy about it. He was mean to his mom telling her it shouldn't hurt about her loss because his uncle was an **$. She told him he was CRAZY and he got mad said if she doesn't quit saying that she won't see our kids again. WHAT IS THE MATTER W/ HIM?

Answers:
Suggest that he get help - counseling, therapy, perhaps medication. If he resists, there is nothing you can do. It has to be his decision.

I'd like to comment on this situation but, you see, it's so easy to track someone down through the Internet - and I sure as hell don't want that crazy fool knocking on my front door.
