When ever you close your eyes for awhile, do you ever notice moving lines or tiny designs?? Youre not sleep?

Question:
or dreaming, youre just resting. What is that? Please don't call me crazy,Im sure we all notice this.

Answers:
Yep, we all do. First, there are little translucent cellular fragments floating around that look like some sort of bacteria under a microscope, and then there are the patterns or 'light shows' that appear with closed eyed, especially when you press on them a little. There's a term for it. Ahgh! I can't remember. They are like phototronics, no phototechnics? or something? Ask your biology teacher. But everyone can see them. Maybe even blind people? Who knows. But it is definately a function of your eyes componants.

I get that too. I hope it's normal!
You're not crazy, everybody's eyes do this. It's caused by light that filters past your eye lids.
yes I do , Its your Brain
I do definitly.I remember sometimes when I saw them that I would try to identify them to see what they were but they would keep changing. Every now and then I would realize what they were.
yeah i do this all the time i dont know why but its kinda weird if u ask me!!
I get that too! But sometimes that play games like tag or hide and seek.. And my sister thinks I'm crazy..
yeah, its your brain because it remembers that lighting or something like that but it has to do with your brain and remembering.
Thats the inside of your eyelids..I think
And I thought that I was the only crazy one!
YES! and I use to rub my eyes , it would make them into designs!
What you are seeing are called floaters. They are translucent bits of protein or cells that are floating in the vitreous body that is behind the lens in your eye. They are common, are not harmful, and you will get more of them as you get older. Play with them if you like; I do that sometimes but not as much as when I first noticed them. Please don't push in on your eye balls to see a light show as some one suggested.

I used to work as an R.N. I have floaters too. The part about them being bits of protein or cells in the vitreous, I got from Tabor's Medical Dictionary.
I see lines, dots, patterns etc, when I close my eyes. I think everyone does when they close their eyes and look at their eyelids, it's like the light filters through somehow.
