how can I help myself enjoy and appreciate life more?

I've been undergoing therapy for mild depression since January this year. I think I've improved already- i have a part-time job, and I get to go out with my friends once in a while. However, I find it really hard to get up in the morning, take a bath and go to work on time. I just find the idea of death really tempting because of my hopelessness and depression. Sometimes I find myself wishing I was dead already. I don't know how to deal with it. I get really tired trying to bear with my condition. help..

first, have a goal-of-the day posted where you can see it everywhere in your room and always do this! at least, you'll have something to look forward to every morning.next, learn to have fun by doing/learning somethings you've never done before (AS LONG AS IT IS SAFE).and last but most importantly, LOVE YOURSELF.if you don't then how could others do?.HANG IN THERE, LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL. ;)

Everything is your hopeless target in your life. First you keep some target in your life. Just imagine god given space in earth to give happy to others. If your think like this you will overcome your loneliness and lazyness.

Stop feeling sorry for yourself, Who cares what others think of you, they probally don't know the real you anyway. Besides what happens today will only make you stronger for tommarrow.
I was feeling the way you do. I started volunteering in a zoo, spending time with animals really helped me because it made me appreciate how beautiful life can be.

I don't know but this may help, when you are going to sleep at night, think that you will have to get up in the morning and do important things. Condition yourself; think that you will get up in the morning when you hear the alarm clock. The first thing is to getup from the bed. You can't persuade yourself lying in the bed.
1. Find a goal - unless you have something to strive for you are like a boat without oars drifting along. What do you want in life? It can be anything a car, house, weight loss.

2. Share - help someone else. You need someone to focus on other than yourself. If you have someone that depends on you there is no way for you to look at your own problems the same way.

3. Take control - realize that no external force can truly influence your emotions. Only you decide how you will react to adversity; either as a challenge to overcome or as a barrier to run up against.
Jeez fluffy, I mean come on! Everyone's depressed. Life is crap. There's nothing on TV. Work SUCKS (am I right). People are self-serving cretins. Friendships and lovers are disposable. All the good stuff is unaffordable. Hatred and evil runs rampant.

To cheer up I tend to try and break the cycles that create it. Lying in bed is one, no doubt about it. Sleep is crucial. Go to bed at 8 and up by 5.30. Force yourself. Read instead of computing and watching television. Beaches, parks or anywhere good to get outside is important. Learn to love good healthy food. Cut all the colourants, preservatives, saturated fats and junk food out of your diet and learn to cook and you'll improve your outlook 10x. And remember: life makes no sense. There is no real point. There is more bad than good but there is good. Live for that and it is worth it.

And smile more. Dammit

our life will end one day. than dont think about anything happning with you just say i dont care, always talk your friends about your good habbits and positive works, have a hobby and believe in your self and mail me if you have any negative thing in your life.

The base = You have to let go all issues . Relax & Relax ..
I do not know the main reason of your depression .
Only yourself have the answer to your problems & worries . Tried to face it openly . Have an open communication to others will definetly helps too .

Think about it . However about others who do not have job , & sleeping along the road/underground ; bridge etc. Or others whom had contracted terminal diseases .
You are still healthy & fit . Even life is stress / hard ,
it depend on how U take it . To be a Happy or sad person ,
the choice is decided by U not others .

Sometimes the best answers are more questions, so here it goes. Have you "Contracted for Safety" with your therapist. This is a verbal promise you make with your therapist, and sometimes others, not to attempt self injury or suicide. Second, do you have a good support system, ie friends, family, Dr's, etc, that you can call at anytime. If not you might want to consider joining a 'Depression support group. If your 'mild depression' has lasted for more than three month's and you are still feeling suicidal, have you asked for a second opinion. If not, I would discuss this with your current therapist. 'Mild' depression typically doesn't include constant suicidal thinking or planning. ****Most importantly, if you are feeling suicidal right now make an emergency phone call to your therapist or medical Dr., or call the national, or your local 'Suicide Prevention" Hotline right now. One last thought, suicide is a permanent, irreversible action to a temporary problem. You may not feel that way right now so you need to talk with someone to get beyond this temporary feeling.
