I believe it will. But you might want to figure out what is causing you to be depressed. Get out and walk around outside. Watch
funny movies or listen to music that makes you happy.

Other Answers:
for sure. But try to also spend time outside in the sun each day and youll see a difference
Yep, hun, sure will.........They also make solar lamps (I have one in my room) and they work great, too...........Take care, hun........
it will help
yes the sun will wake you up naturally.
It would probably help. Walking outside every day may help you also as you get the benefit of exercise which is supposed to help and the benefit of the sunlight. I wish you all the best as you work through your depression.
yes, it is a well known fact that sun helps depression, so it should make a difference.
It couldn't hurt! It depends really on how much time you spend in your room. If all you do is sleep in there then, no. If you live your life in there, then definitely, yes.

I am in treatment for depression and sunlight makes a big difference. It's the same for people with Seasonal Affective Disorder.

One thing that really made a difference for me was replacing all the light bulbs in my house with the full spectrum 5- or 7-year light bulbs. They are kind of expensive for light bulbs (anywhere from $3 to $7 dollars each) but they are guaranteed to last and you get the same effects as sunlight for your moods. I even have a lamp with one of these bulbs on my desk at work. Make sure you get the ones that say "full spectrum" or "imitates sunlight" on them.

Sometimes if I shop in the right places, I can find a 3 pack for $5.
I have a sunlamp specifically for s.a.d.. It makes a world of difference. If you can't get a new room, get a sunlamp.
