You have got to tell your parents. It is normal to have teengage angst, and it is normal to have negative thoughts and be super emotional when you that age. However, if you feel that you are suicidal, or might hurt yourself in anyway, YOU MUST tell someone. If you really cant tell your parents, tell a relative or good friend that you trust. People are generally good and want to help and support people in your type of situation. If you really feel as though you cannot tell anyone you know, you can always call a crisis hotline and speak to somebody on there. The idea is not always appealing, but that is what they are there for.

Hey, you're not alone. I was very depressed and suicidal as a teenager and have always had social phobia. Please do try to tell your parents about it - they love you and really want to know. Councelling feels creepy but it does help to get through this rough time. They can also make sure that you get medication if its needed. Be brave - bring it up to you parents. It's hard, but you'll be relieved that you did.

First and for most you have to take a step back and think things through more. I suggest for starters that you find a higher power such as God and Jesus. If you are not spiritual, start being. You have to put faith into you life. I am Bipolar manic and have highs and lows all the time. I was never suicidal all though its characteristic or 70% of BI Polar people. Anti Depresents realy dont work that well. You have to have defined meaning of life worth. You Are special and need to know this. You will need to research the best self help material and start digging in. You need to buy and read a Bible and also understand what is being meant so you can understand that you will be going to a much better place after this life. There cannot be any thoughts about being sucidal. Depression requires med's for short period, not long and there are to many drugs out there to suggest one. Talk therepy is the best solution for your thought process. Find the meaning of life through research and keep researching forever. Marc
Well, I don't know how old you are, but if you are able to go to the doctor by yourself then go! If not, there is no reason that you shouldn't be able to talk to your parents about how you feel. There are so many people that experience the same problem that you do and there is nothing wrong with anybody for feeling that way. If your feelings are making you suicidal then you need to get on medication because you are depressive. You do need to watch for other signs though..a lot of people who are manic depressive(bi-polar) are mis- diagnosed as depressive. If you go on an anti-depressive medication and you are bi-polar it will only make your symtoms worse, not better. Figure out what exactly you feel like all the time. If sometimes you feel depressed and other times you feel almost hyper then it's probably more like bi-polar. If you are always feeling depressed then you are probably depressive. I sure am not a doctor but everyone in my family has some type of medical brain imbalance and I know WAY too much about this stuff. My mother is bi-polar, her sisters and 2 brothers are depressive and another 2 sisters are schizophrenic. Don't feel bad just because you are not "perfect". If you don't get yourself some help then you might end up hurting yourself or even someone else.
Each time you think negative thoughts, you are practicing this behavior in your mind, and practice makes perfect, so you must stop this immediately to keep from spiraling out of control. You must first recognize when you're having a negative thought and counteract it with the opposite, positive thought.
If you are thinking of suicide, you should tell your parents. This may mean that you have lost control to think rationally and need someone else's help.
