My ct scan report?

Question:
I have a ct scan in 2001, i have stammering problem and report i get from doctor is as follows. Please explain in simple words
"There is slight dilation of the cerebral sulei, subarachnoid and ventricular system suggestive of mild generalized cerebral atrophy". I did not get any proper explanation from doctor.

Answers:
A cerebral atrophy is an enlargement of your cerebellum (back of your brain) the dilation mentioned is suggestion of.well dilation's of other areas of your brain possibly causing the enlargement due to a restriction of cerebral spinal fluid. You would need another now after 6 years to gain a definite diagnosis but that is what I think the report is saying. Very hard to stick it in Lyman's terms though without sounding patronising

I'm not a radiologist so it's just my opinion but I'll ask one at work on Monday if you want.
i dont think there is much more i can think of to say to add to what the gentleman above has said. i was just wondering your age, as cerbral atrophy occurs as we age.
You do not give your age, medical history or drug history. ( legal or otherwise). All of which would help formulate an answer.

Cerebral atrophy is a feature of ageing also certain drugs, especially cannabis, may cause it.
