Withdawl from si?

Without professional help, you will not be able to successfully just "stop" cutting. You need to address the underlying issues which are leading to this behavior. A "mental ward" is not necessarily a bad thing. These types of behaviors are what they specialize in. Ask your parents to help you by arranging for a psychological evaluation. Explain to them that you feel your behavior is dangerous and that you would like someone who is experienced in this area to talk with. Be calm and be direct. Cutting is a dissociative disorder and it most often occurs because a person has very strong underlying issues which are not being addressed, but rather "stuffed" away. Until you can deal with the "why" of your behavior, it cannot change. Good luck.
there is most certainly a such thing as withdrawl from si... it is horrible! you will feel horrible for a while... but it slowly gets better and the urge lessens. you are used to not feeling anything from cutting, and now you are able to experience emotion again. somethings that help me are writing poetry, talking to ppl, and my personal favorite is taking the back of a notebook and slashing it like it was my skin. i never liked doing the rubber band thing. you are going to feel like crap for a long time, but it does get better...slowly. dont give up and dont start again..it is worse the second and third time around..trust me.
