Who has interest or knows an academic with interest in PTSD recovery research for soldiers and veterans?

Question: I'm writing for government grants and others to fund a research project regarding PTSD recovery utilizing neuroscience in psychotherapy and need collaborators. I'm in Oceanside, California near Camp Pendleton. See www.OperationRecovery.org for more information.

I recommend that you go to your local university library and run a quick search on PTSD on PsychInfo (a CD-ROM database which catalogs published research in psychology) and Medline (another CD-ROM database). Alternatively, run your search on PubMed (free - it's all online). Sort the entries by date, and look through the first several screens. The expanded entries typically include email addresses of the first authors. That way, you'll have the contact info for those who are currently doing the cutting edge research in the field.

p.s. Another good idea is to contact the heads of psych. at larger VA's and ask your question directly. They may have some names for you that you won't find on PsychLit, but who could help you immeasurably.
