Whats the best way to get a quick meditation in to relax yourself?

Question:
I have no experience in this field...

Answers:
Mind follows Body.
Body follows Mind.

Those are some simple truths that can help you understand meditation. If you want to meditate and reach a place of peace in your mind, start with your body (mind follows body). Sit down in a quiet place, far from noise. Focus on your breathing, until you are completely focused on the in and out of your breath. Then let your mind follow your body into that place of peace and think about everything in your life as the sun sees it - covered with light. You see enough of the shadowy side of everything all day. When you meditate, you see things from the sun's view.

Then relax and let yourself lie down. Keep your eyes closed and look at things from the shady side, or the underside. Remembering the truth of the sunny side, make sense of the darkness and the things that you can't see yet. Breathe deep and make peace that the light will come to all places eventually and decide what kind of action you will take to reflect light (truth) into everything you do.

Then you allow yourself to come up to your conscious self, stretch, stand up, and continue your day with a smile, knowing that you've seen the dark side in the shadow. You aren't afraid of the unseen, or the future, because sufficient for now is the day.
Get yourself some good meditation Cd's to listen to ..They have training in some on how to breath and take yourself into that deep state of relaxation..
Controlled Breathing with your eyes shut.
Breath in - hold for 10 sec, then start letting out small amounts of air through your mouth in a short burst then hold for 10 more sec and so on and so on until you are all out of air then breath in again and hold for 10 and start all over.
Concentrate on your breathing and RELAX........
Breath in, breath out. Count to five while you are breathing in. Count to five when you are breathing out. Close your eyes while you do this a focus on nothing but breathing and counting. That's a good quickie. Do it until you feel calm. If I have time, I like to lay flat on my back while I do it.

Another quickie is to think of something that makes you happy. A bunny rabbit, a baby, a talking ferret, whatever. Laughter is a great way to relax. Me? I have a funny upbeat song that puts me in a good mood. Look it up on iTunes. It's called "Gimme Dat Ding" by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. It's so funny!
Try deep breathing. Lie on your back with knees bent. Breathe in deeply through your nose and "fill you belly" with air. Blow out through your puckered lips as your belly falls. Take even deeper breaths by first forcing more air out by squeezing your belly flatter when you breathe out. Breaths in should last 3-4seconds, breaths out for 4-5 seconds. Do for 5-6 breaths then relax for 5-6 breaths. Repeat.
lay down in a dark room.. on a bed or something comfortable. you want to get rid of external noise if possible (relaxing music..headphones are a must! or earplugs if you want) start by taking in deep breaths, hold for 4 sec or so, and let out slowly. tense up your muscles, starting at your feet and hold them tense for 4 sec or so at a time maybe 4 reps. work your way up your whole body and when you're done let your body be totally limp. if you're coordinated enough you can tense up while you're breathing... this works for me anyway. you start to feel like you're sinking through your bed!
Personally, I love hypnosis. I like short sessions that quickly relax the body and mind. You can find many online sources where you can download sessions to your computer or MP3 player. My favorite site is http://www.hypnosisdownloads.com/?772... Most of their sessions are about 18-20 minutes long-just enough to do the trick, but not so long as to take up too much of your time. I love the specific sessions, aimed at certain habits or things you would like to change, but I also love the "fun" series to listen to just when I need to unwind my mind.
