You need to see a Doctor, and make a circle of friends so that you can get out, talk with people and not be lonely.

Find a counselor/psychologist. Sometimes the reasons for depression are very complex and need to be dealt with with an expert. Don't be embarrassed - you are trying to improve yourself, which is always honorable. Best of luck!
first you need to realize that depression is just a bunch of chemicals in your brain. so you need to manipulate those chemicals, start taking omega 3 supllements, eat more fish eat flax seeds and walnuts.
second you need to hang out with your friends as much as possible, friends and family will make you happy.
you could try making more friends, finding hobbies, hang out more, go out more, and do things you like and if this doesnt help then see your doctor or a pyscharist or somethin
Sorry about it but if you're lonely try talking to somebody anybody you come in contact with, and if there is someone you're close to talk it out with them. If you don't feel comfortable with that maybe go to a counselor (nobody has to know about it).

i suggest you get a counsler or therapist, they can suggest ways to deal with depression and just give you someone to vent to. it really can be a lot of help.
Clinical depression... that's depression besides just being sad because something bad happened, depression that lasts day after day. That kind of depression doesn't need a reason to happen. It can happen to anyone, even if your life is otherwise great. Excercise helps a lot of people shake it off, but obviously that's not helping you, but you can also just try getting out there more often. If you're so lonely, why not go out and have some fun with friends. It's hard to get going, but once you're out, you'll probably start to feel better. If it gets worse and nothing else helps, then talk to your doctor about it. Obviously if you feel really depressed and feel like you might hurt yourself you shouldn't wait to get medical help.
Well if your lonely, try finding more friends online, at work, or anound the naborhood!

You need to understand that not all depression is "the blues" - clinical depression is biochemical, caused by a rapid transfer of seratonin in the brain. (People without depression have a slow rate of seratonin transfer, or "re-uptake", which is why depression is often treated with medications called seratonin re-uptake inhibitors; Prozac and Paxil are common brands.)
Talk with your doctor. You might be able to get a prescription without even going to a shrink - but if you do go to a shrink, you'll be joining tens of millions of Americans and shouldn't sweat it. Your situation sounds biochemical, not situational, and meds would probably do you just fine.
But DO call your doc.
When I was about 24 I felt this way also. I had everything I wanted, but I was so lonely and unhappy. I even tried to commit suicide. Then I gave my life to Jesus. I had this joy and peace that was unbelievable. This may not be the answer you were looking for, but it worked for me. God Bless You.
i think everyone just needs that lil bit of drama in their life to be complete.
When we develop expectations that are seen as wrong our upper brains erase the belief. Erasing a belief has a waste product that goes into the fluid and if strong enough the lower brain that controls the heart and breathing etc. is affected. Your body vitals are modified and you feel awful. To remove the chemicals requires a long time or another chemical to cancel them. Depression is all about expectations and friends and family.
