i think i shall be getting on some meds in the next few weeks.anti anxiety and anti depressants..but im just worried about the side effects? do you get nausea or vommiting side effects from these? (i have a Very bad phobia of vomitting so these side effects would not be an option.)

Answers:
Talk to the doctor that will be prescribing these meds. Let them know your fears and concerns. They are there to help you. Maybe they can reassure you about the possible side effects. I understand how you feel about the vomiting. That is not one of my favorite things to do either. Good Luck
Side effects vary not only by the specific med, but by the specific patient. Some patients experience NO side effects, while the side effects for others are maked enough that they must discontinue treatment.

In most cases, any side effects are tolerable and temporary.

Hopefully that will be the case for you as well.

Best of luck to you in your treatment,

I have a son who has been on many of these kinds of drugs, and what his docter tells him to do is to take them before bedtime. That way if you are going to get any nausea it won't be as bad. Vomiting, I havent heard of that before, unless you are having an allergic reaction. Don't worry so much about it, most side effects from these types of meds are dizziness and sleepiness, and after you are on them for a couple of weeks these side effects usually subside. I think the effects of depression and anxiety are much more detrimental to you physically in the long run, Good Luck!
