Does any1 else have Depression n Anxiety ...?

Question:
n hate themselves 4 it ? Tnx=)

Answers:
No reason to hate yourself but that is easier said than done.. i know from personal experience . Take one day or if things are going crazy take one second to one minute to etc etc. While taking some deep breaths i find that helps me. Best of luck to you and hope you feel better, Take good care, Bill aka Harley
You should not hate yourself , there is no reason to hate yourself.
If you are truly having any depression or anxiety, there are no reason to hate yourself. Those two mental disorders alone more common than anyone would like to admit. Below are a few good web sites listed.
yeah, i do. It sucks!
Well I know it can be bad. I am on medication for depression . You seem to think about things all of the time and they seem not to go away. I still have those problems. Its hard to go from one day to the next without worrying about what if?
I have had both--actually they have been a life-long problem. I'm OK now, as the Klonopin (clonazepam) that I take for anxiety and panic, and the Elavil (amitriptyline) I take for depression are doing their jobs.

A few years back, when the doctor tried to switch me to SSRIs--I did very poorly--very bad reaction. Once they switched me back to Elavil, I was fine--and the Clonazepam finally started working better for me than the Xanax once had (it takes longer to take effect, but it stays in your system longer).

Don't hate yourself for it--get help, if you aren't already. There are free and sliding scale mental health clinics in every city in every state--the emergency rooms and police depts. have their phone numbers.

Also, check out some self-help books from the library--they helped me a whole lot.

Writing and drawing are very therapeutic--getting things down on paper somehow makes one feel better.

If you are not on meds, Valerian Root is very good for anxiety, and St. John's Wort is great for depression. However, READ LABEL WARNINGS CAREFULLY--and if you are under a certain age--they may not be for you.

You can also check out both anxiety and depression at:
http://www.about.com
At that site, you can take quizzes to see if you are depressed, and if you are anxious. You can read about causes, symptoms and treatments for each. Just type mental health in the search box at about.com, and you will see links to the sections you want to read.

Feel better really soon. I know it's tough--but it will get better.

Oh, do check out some books on meditation and yoga from the library--they really helped me--take out several of each, you'll find one of each you like.

Lavender incense and candles help with relaxation, so does Chamomile Tea, or Sleepytime Tea.
Yes I have depression and anxiety brought on by PTSD and chronic grief. I hate myself, but my counsellor is working very hard to try to get me to change the way I feel.

Try taking little steps each day and rewarding yourself for everything you achieve no matter how big or small. It is not your fault that you have these illnesses. Have you tried having counselling or therapy to help you get through them?

:-)))
actually this is last thing you should do HATE YOURSELF.

:) try to stay positive
I use to now i have love and peace in Jesus Christ
Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn PhD has a book out for Depression and Anxiety which is called:
"The Mindful Way through Depression".
The Book also comes with a 50 min. CD.
It teaches all the techniques and skills needed to alleviate depression AND anxiety
in order to have a calm peaceful mind and to be happy.

I do not hate myself. Been going on so long I just roll with it. Sometimes might keep me inside, force myself to do things. I don't know what you are getting at? It is a disease that has ramifications. It does not discriminate. If you say you got it you might not get that job! I got most of what you are talking about bad. Just means I am a little bit slower getting up. Meds help to a certain extent, whats worse is having mixed states. Both at once, that really sucks, I have learned how to deal with it. If I tell you how to handle it, not a MD can get in trouble. You know how long I have been this way. 298 of 317 in high school. 2 year degree plus 3 years at a university. Major was anthropology. That's a shame, just 7 credits away. Like you see this disease can be over come.
some times BUT''''''''''''''.... I JUST FIND AN AMUSEMENT AND LAUGH IT OFF
NOW SOME OF MY FELLOW MARINES AS I HAVE PTSD
POST TRAUMATIC AND HAVE TAUGHT OURSELVES TO CALM DOWN WHEN IT HITS
CHILL OUT AND FIND A CARTOON IN YAHOO IMAGES UNDER MILITARY HUMOR
MIGHT HELP YA GIRL
LOL
I do, too.

and i am tired..

but hoping..
its natural to feel depression and anxiety at times...
the key is not to mope over it too much...
its a phase and it passes...
you have hope again...
and you move on.
if its a constant state then yes theres soemhting to worry about...
but i personally feel everyone goes through this state and it passes.. hang in there it'll be all good...
tryin talking it out with a close friend.
that really ends up helping...
Yes, yes, yes. And my depression just comes and goes as it wishes. Btw, I have two regular depressions every month lol, and it takes place in the morning. Usually after lunch, I feel refreshed. But I do love that refreshed feeling after enduring any kind of depression. Not that bad.
sometimes i rly jst wanna sulk in my room forever, and i listen to music, and fell dwn most of the time. then i think, y do i hate myself for nothing. its always better to be happy and optimistic. heard it makes u live longer too
Girl, most people do. The overwhelming things happening in the world are too much to handle. Also, i don't think humans were really made to live in such cramped quarters. Anxiety is the WORST! Its such a horribe feeling and i definately hate myself sometimes when I get that way, but it isn't really your fault. You just have to try to do the little things that can ease that.
Yes and it is hell!! When you add panic attacks to the anxiety and your anti-depressant isn't working, it is hard to function.
Prayer. There is always an oppurtunity in everything. BUt I just pray and let the spirit lead me. Let God work it out. Turn your stress and anxiety over to him. Let Him deal with it

I'm wishing you well and sending love your way. Hope this helps, Warm Regards, and thank you for your question.
