Does adhd and mood disorder for kids qualify them for disability?

Question:

Answers:
Yes it can qualify them for disability if the disorders severely adversely affect their ability to function.

The disorders need to be diagnosed and in most cases have severely affected the patient for over a year. The attending physician, preferably a specialist needs to fill out and specifically state what the disorder is, what symptoms present, how this affects the everyday quality of life, what treatment is necessary.

I am not sure if you are looking at this for medical insurance of SSI disability. SSI is a federal welfare program. Your income will be taken into consideration.
I highly doubt it.
Nope I have both and I'm NOT disabled.
Not disability but if it's affecting their grades it qualifies them to get help from the school. I wish I could remember the name of the plan.

Talk to the counselors in your child's school about it if that's what you're worried about, because they will know what program it is.
