Question:
I have taken Halcion to sleep for over a year with my doctors recommendation of course. I was so tired of taking this medication and the short term memory loss so i decided to quit. Let me tell you it has been very difficult to sleep these last 4 nights. Last night was a little better. I was dreaming off and on it seemed and i haven't remembered any of my dreams in the year I was on Halcion. Does anyone have a similar experience and do you know if it will continue to get better? I refuse to take this medication again or any other sleep aid again.
Answers:
My experience taking sleeping pills off and on for years has developed into a pattern. Upon abstaining, it usually takes at least five nights before I begin to half-way sleep. This continues for about three weeks til my mind is right about falling asleep.
Yes-- sleeping pills are so very addicting.
Just be patient !!
Patience and perseverance. Do some exercise and stay off the net cos surfing the net can feed insomnia.
Good luck
