St johns wort?

Question:
can you get a heavy strength st johns wort? like very heavy strength?? do you get a prescription from you doc? i dont want to use other meds because i dont want side affects.
Thanks!

Answers:
I don't think there is a "heavy strength" St. John's Wort, and the warning labels say not to take more than the intended amount, which is I think around 300mg or something. I've been taking St. John's Wort and it workes wonderfully.
steroids are bad
i heard that st. johns wort works very well. as for "heavy strength"...i have no idea.
I'm not sure that the St. Johns wort sold in the US is certified as to its strength. Most herbal remedies suffer from the problem that one pill may have more of the active ingredient than another. Who told you that it doesn't have side effects? All treatments have side effects of some sort.

It doesn't take a prescription.
No I dont think so. St Johns Wort is only effective is mild depression. But it works really well. You buy it at your local supermarket or chemist in Australia and I think that is the same everywhere else. Except for Germany. Try this site for more info http://www.sjwinfo.org/
