My daughter wanted to go to a therapist. Someone recommended this female one. When I talked to her on the phone I had a bad feeling but let the recommendation sway my decision. I wish I had listened to my feelings. My daughter didn't go for many sessions but I hate that she went for any and that this lady was paid for her poor work. A person doesn't have to be good to be a therapist. They just have to be able to pass college classes.
Who are you to judge the mental health of your therapists? If you had to see therapists in the first place, we already know that not everything upstairs is running too smooth . . . .
But I have heard it said that those who seek to become psychologists are those who feel the need for those in society, or those who agreed they needed one. Myself included, and nobody is iller than me.
A psychologist can be just as messed up as the rest of us
I have seen many in my time. Personally, I prefer the psychologists I've seen more than the psychiatrists. The therapist/doctor- patient relationship is like any other relationship and can go seriously wrong.
