What should I do about mental jitterings?

Question:
At times I feel mental jitterings. I get angry easily, cannot tolerate slightest noise and life seems very irritating at every step. Is this a mental disease? Can I reduce it myself without taking any medicines? I had faced very bad problems, one after another in life recently. Can you advise what to do?

Answers:
That's not a mental illness, that's pretty bad irritability though, which can be a symptom of some disrders. It's probably just stress from your recent problems, try to eat healthy and exercise and see if it helps out. Meditate if you can, or just breathe deeply for a minute when you feel yourself getting worked up. If these problems last for days and days on end and are causing you even more issues in life, go talk to your doctor.
i wouldnt even try to attempt anything myself. i would go see my doctor or therapist
Without medication: Extra B-Vitamins, L-theanine, chamomile, or valerian root can promote relaxation. Exercising to get rid of nervous tension could help.

Sometimes, we have to admit we need medication or therapy. If none of the above work, you should see a doctor. Sometimes the human body needs help in recovering (including your mind).
3 Steps
1)light exercises-breathing especially(YOGA)
2)Building Confidence-Read Dale Carnegie
3)Get involved in work you like
try st. john's wort its a herbal remedy great for stress and anxiety. other than that, a healthy diet, nice walks in the park and taking some time to chill should help.
Sounds like depression. I've been like that when a bout of depression has been coming on. YOu need valium and to retreat to somewhere quiet, like the countryside, to get your head together. See your doctor.
See a psychiatrist. Maybe you have bipolar disorder. Anyway, there are meds that will help you feel better. Don't be ashamed or embarassed. You are not the only one, and you certainly won't be the last one. I see a shrink myself, and my meds help me live a great life. Don't suffer needlessly. Go get some help for yourself. You will be glad you did.
