Hello David C, I think the best way to aged gracefully is by accepting the fact that it is a natural process in life, but that doesn't mean that one should just sit down and wait for the years to come knock at our doors NO WAY! One should pick up a new hobby, exercise, eat right, join a club in a few words keep active! and when the time comes when one must slow down because of the years then sit down and smell the roses.
enjoy each season of your life. i am very comfortable and at peace with my self. I am at my prime... age is only a number.
According to Oprah fifty is the new thirty five.
I am hitting fifty soon and i am in my prime. I exercise and work out hard.. i look good and i am often mistaken for my sweeties daughterlol!
The only alternative is death!lol
I am on my second degree, third career...i can afford to buy what i want, travel if have the notion. i look and feel great
i count my blessings each day. Where i have been and survived has made me who I am. God has given me beauty for ashes.. growing older does not mean getting old..
Relax and Bloom where you are planted...
it dosnt bother me a bit.
As far as I am concerned, and by the way, I turn 60 in Sept., aging is a state of mind and health. I work most days, and without that something to actually look forward to, I think that both physically and mentally, the years on me would be alot harder. "Strain your brain" is one of my sayings, meaning, keep the brain active. Read, do things you REALLY enjoy that keep the mind turning. Play with or talk with your kids and grandkids. Listen to them, help them, it makes life worthwhile. I don't believe in a magic potion for getting old, or staying young. And freaking out?? An honest question to that is "why?" It happens to everyone who is lucky enough to reach what most kids call "OLD".
Just go with the flow. There are compensations at every age.
