Question:
I am on sumemr break and have about a month and a half left. Every day i do the same thing, Get up, eat, tv, exercise, tv, eat, tv, bed, etc. Its soooo boring and i am going out of my mind. I am always really bored and i have nothing to distract me from my thoughts, right b4 school ended, a friend of mine passed away, and i have been thinking about her alot, and some other things. I just want to go back to school, but i know that i cant. What are some things that i can do to keep myself busy? I want to do alot of stuff to help me stay educated also, so things to help me learn would be nice. Thanks.

Answers:
Keep the TV off and go to the library and read, visit museums, volunteer at a local nursing home or hospital.
well, this is a problem that chases every kid and teenager around all summer. if u like tech. try edheads.org if not try to hang on answers. it may be stationary but u can learn and be tought.
take a class or somethin..why dont u hang out with people?
hi, I thought I would tell you what I did the summer my mom died - I volunteered at the hospital (you can try local hospital, animal shelters, library, nursing homes, and other places like that - often that need volunteers and it will look good if you ever decide to go to college?) - you could get a job but I know that's diffcult sometimes. If you get involved with a local church, they often has transportation if you don't drive. At least you are exercising, that's healthy.- maybe you could explore your town a lil' : find a new park, or a local gym, or hiking paths, go fishing, plant a garden lol, ... something to keep you busy and keep you in shape and it would also be fun. Remember it's summer, so if you need a break, take it. If you wanna have some fun then you gotta try new things!! Best wishes. :)
Hi there. You don't state your age so I can only make an assumption that you are young. I am sorry about the loss of your friend and that must be so hard. We have all been through the loss of loved ones and that is hard to get through. You don't mention what kinds of things that you like doing so I thought I would suggest something that you might find helpful and also educational as well. Writing. Journal writing everyday is a wonderful way of getting frustrations out on paper, getting thoughts out of your head, and might even lead you into writing short stories. Depending on your other interests during the summer can you go swimming? Do you live near parks? You could also wake up and pick one subject for one day and get on your computer and learn everything you can about that one subject. You could learn about a state, an animal, a planet, just about anything. Maybe even think ahead to the next grade you will be in and find things about history and biology and chemistry. That will keep your mind occupied and its much better than watching TV and we don't want you to be going out of your mind!
Reading books is fun. Keeps your mind sharp and focused on other things. You could hang out with friends...Its summer, you should be enjoying it. Volunteering would also be good...you could meet new people that way and it would keep you busy.
It would help to know what city you're in, Michelle. But to speak in general terms, you can go to the beach, pool, museum, movies, watch or play sports, take out a good book, cd or dvd from the library, visit friends/family, go out for brkfst., lunch or dinner, go to a Church or synagogue, make a picnic or barbecue for you and an interested person... I can go on and on, but my point is that you need to get out of your house and enjoy this beautiful summer.
try doing something you would never do, or rarely get a chance to do, like sky diving or bunjee jumping. or just go to a mine and look for gems to make some money (it is a lot of fun)
Volunteering in the community would be great. It teaches you to do new things while helping other people out.
go to a book store. i am here as a friend dogmicjoe@yahoo.com. u can IM me at dogjoe at yahoo messenger. try walking. volunteering.
