What helps with paxil withdrawals?

Titrating off is your best bet, but I wasn't able to do that due to an error at the pharmacy compounded by an error by the doctor's office and so I subsequently went off 60mg a day abruptly. However, I learned two things that helped tolerate the discontinuation syndrome: It only lasted about 2 weeks and taking dramamine daily during that time greatly reduced the nausea and whoozy feelings I had. I also found that it helped to turn my head more slowly and steady myself so that I didn't lose my balance or get the "spins" so readily. Hang in there-it doesn't last forever! Good luck!
Hi, I know how you feel...the symptoms are awful aren't they? I've been through similar experiences with-drawing from several Anti-depressant medication over the past few years, and learned the hard way what to do when coming off such medications...
NEVER stop cold turkey! Always, gradually wean yourself off the anti-depressant medication under the directions and guidance of your Doctor - very gradually...this will reduce the risk and severity of any symptoms associated with coming off the medication.
Have some Paracetamol on hand, as Head-aches are a common with drawl side-effect, stay hydrated, eat small, bland, regular snacks to curb nausea which can also be a common with-drawl symptom.
Rest., as dizziness is likely. Beware of driving if affected.
And, most importantly - Don't worry! - any serious side-effects are unlikely, and the majority of your discomfort should disappear within a week.
Feel better soon, and Good Luck with your with drawls.
I went through Paxil withdrawal about 5 years ago. I found exercise helped some, also reduce the dosage in the smallest increments possible...see if you can get the paxil syrup or at least cut up the tablets as much as you need to.
When it got really bad for me, i was given a short, one-off prescription of Valium. That would help if it gets really bad. Oh, and be careful walking up the stairs,I almost fell down stairs several times due to the dizziness. Finally, get plenty of sleep and avoid alcohol and caffeine.
There are some websites for info and support which are really good, google for paxil progress. Hope that helps.
