Compulsive checking- what should I do?!!?
Question:
When I type "eix" and then the program I want, say gcc, I find there is a new version available and it says "~" indicating it is "masked" (the developers don't want me to install it just yet). To unmask something I must add the program to /etc/portage/package.keywords.
I KNOW that is has to be masked but I "emerge =gcc-4.2.0" just to make sure!! WHY? I'M REALLY STRESSING OVER IT! OMGWTZBBQ!?!?!
Answers:
I think that you may just have a touch of obsessive compulsive disorder. The disease of having to do things over and over and over etc. It sucks I have it too. There is a medication out there called Luvox just for the use of OCD. Maybe you should see a doctor about it. Good Luck
You are posting in the wrong category. This is mental health, you compulsive checker you!
Good luck with your problem, tho!
Try using version 5.2 express ill give you direct aceess and tell you how to installl any program if its gcc or rss
