Mental disorder?

Question:
hi im a 22 year old female, i have a bmi of 19, everyone who sees me says i look so good or i look so skinny, but whenever i look in the mirror i feel as though i am huge! i am very confused because everything around me is telling me that im not fat, like my weight of 105 and clothing size between 1-3 (juniors) but i cant shake off the feeling that i am so fat.

please help me to get a healthy body image.

what can i do to achieve a healthy mental body image?

thanks!

Answers:
If you exersise and eat well, then your not fat. I think you know the answer to this question. To achieve a better body image, stop asking people if your fat or not. It seems like you want attention or reassurance. Don't compare yourself to other people; You are an individual.
You might consider seeing a psychologist and discussing the problem further.
ure fine, ure probably focusing too much on being a good shape when u already are. a 1 and a 3 is super cool. every girl would like to be ur size. dont stress so much about it. im sure ure healthy enough.
your self-esteem is probably pretty low, you should seek support from your family or from a designated support group
Get up in the morning and Look in the mirror and say to yourself over and over I am beautiful inside and outside. Do this all through the day until you can see that it is true. Keep eating well and healthy.
most people feel like this...i have a bmi or 18 or 17.5 or something and i feel like i am grossly fat and disgusting...and i am!! no joke! im fatty all over my face-anyway i wont go on:P but this is normal..theres not much you can do.maybe some cognitive behavioural therapy...this can change your outlook on things.it works for some people. or something like tha and help change you outlook...its hard work but it will pay off:D
You did not say whether you had an eating disorder or not. I am including a link of people that can help in case you do. There are several organizations that have phone referrals to local treatment, and they also have websites with more info. There is even a 24-hour hot line, if you are in crisis.

I think even if you do not have an eating disorder, the people from these organizations might be able to help. They have lots of experience with people who have unhealthy body image. I know that you will not be able to overcome it on your own. Please call one of these organizations to get a referral.
possibly Body Dysmorphic Disorder

here is a link you can check out the symptoms and nature of the illness it is not necessarily an eating disorder and can effect people in various ways, not limited to just appearing overweight when not but sometimes feeling reflection is grotesque and repulsive

if you feel you have a strong inclination that you may have this disorder please seek medical advice so you can feel better about yourself you are so young and so much life to live to be so troubled
I don't know how severely these thoughts bother you. If they are intense, it could be BDD (Body Dysmorphic Disorder). In this case I suggest you to talk to a therapist.

P.S. I hate all these commercials about the celebrities and the size of their body and that a perfect body is a thin one.
When I was young, I was so skinny and it was not nice in my culture, so whoever saw me told me how breakable I was and suggested my mom to feed me more. It is the same as nowadays that everybody who is not size 0 or 2 is assumed fat.
Love yourself and your body.
A woman needs fat on their bodies. Your in no way fat dear. You are right about needing a healthy body image, and possibly working on self esteem issues.
Most women feel fat even when they are not though. And it is usually the thin ones who worry about it.
Try toning up, and exercising. This will help you feel so much better!
When I decided to recover from my ED this is what I did, and it gave me strength and self confidence.
