What kind of job is suitable for people with obsessive compulsive disorder?
Question:
My symptoms is that I keep on checking things over and over again. For example, I keep on checking the door lock and light switch over and over again to see if it locked properly, so that I get a right feeling that it closed properly.
Answers:
People with OCD tend to do extremely well in accounting.
Security Guard

be confident you can do all the job if you have a will.
house cleaner
Maybe a retail clothing store to make sure clothes are folded, cleaning. I'm sure there are many higher level jobs too. They just have to be in environments that give you enough time to go through your motions if you have to go through the task. Really you should see a therapist about it though. In some instances you may have rights that protect you from getting fired-but more details must be uncovered. Many people have OCD at varying degrees and learn how to deal with it in the workplace. You are not alone.
Definatly a Security Gurard. It's a pity they dont get paid much, but I worked as one before, and that's all you do throughout the whole shift is check doors, check lights, check everywhere to see if anything looks different.
for something for losers, be a security guard but for something more prestegious...try a pharmacy technician. Theres so much you have to double check and look over before you hand over the drugs...you would fit perfect
