What is the lowest dose possible for concerta, the adhd drug?

Question:
i told the doc the lowest dose. he gave her a script for 18 mg. she has been awake for 24 hours. i will talk to him tomorrow about lowering dose, but wonder if anyone knows about this
this is for my 7 yr. old daughter

Answers:
18mg is the lowest dose for concerta. If your daughter is up after 24 hours she is having side effects that you should definitely speak to your doctor about. It may not be right for her. My son has ADHD is on concerta. We went through a few different kinds of ADHD meds before we got one that worked well. Poor kid gets alittle sleepy from it but at least he is learning and not being kicked out of school. . I hope you find a solution. Good luck to ya.
