Eating disorder inpatient clinic questions...?
Question:
first, i'm fat now. i've gained weight since i've been "recovering" and i'm now at 5'7, 120 lbs. i feel like i'm way too large to be going to an inpatient place, and the idea of being the fattest (or one of the fatter ones) one scares me to the point that i would want to lose weight before i go. does weight vary at the inpatient centers, or would i be a minority? secondly, are there centers that allow you to bring books/laptops/ipods or are they off-limits? are there private rooms available? do you have to eat everything they provide (i'm an ethical vegan)? do you get free-time? i'm just worried and i'd like to find a center that allows some freedom and comfort but will help me. does anyone know of any that would be good for me? thanks in advance.

Continue seeing your therapist and go to the clinic.
Go with the idea that you will do anything it takes to be the best person you can be. Make it a challenge.
How you see and think about yourself is very important. You want to be sure that you have a correct view of yourself. So be prepared to change some of your thinking.
A singer I loved died because she too felt the way you do. Her songs are still played on the radio. She was 32 years of age. I miss her still.
