Answers:
I had a bad case of depression as well i was on meds and you know what i have found out that it all depends on the person. I cant take the meds i got way more depressed than i could handle i tried suicide countless of times. So one day i decided to just stop taking them and it started art therapy and I have been pretty well balanced since I still get in a funk but who doesnt. It sounds thou like you might need them but try something other than pills for a change try therapy or something like it. Keep yourself busy. But that sometimes that doesnt help. So talk to the doc.
Have you ever thought about going to see a counsellor? They're there to listen to your feelings and help you to move forward. They do not judge you and everything you say to them is confidential.
Try ringing someone like the samaritans, it might help you just to talk to someone about how you're feeling.
Good luck!
Addreall causes depression. Maybe you need to take a depression quiz. If you find that you are depressed you may need a medication. Believe me i hate having to take meds. for my depression, but i have no choice. Also, it really depends how long you have been depressed. Is it 24/7 for along time? I really can't give much more advice unless i know how long this has been going on, or if there are issues going on in your life or what.
I'm so sorry your depressed and the med your'e taking aint cutting it, but you really do need to try a different med. I'm saying that from experience. One doc gave me Trazodone, Prozac, and Depakote. I felt tenfold worse, plus I saw shadows and had night terrors. I felt like a sad human slug with panic attacks!.I was at the end of my rope and just wanted to die at that point! BUT, I decided to try another doc and another med. Believe me, I had no high hopes! I tried Lexipro which after the initial two weeks of it and my body getting used to each other, (I had bad nausea and fatigue) my depression slowly faded. My anxiety waned! I didn't think it was possible to feel so "normal!!" Of course, life gave me another double whammy. I'm 48 and perimenopause set in. The change before the change in females. Soooo, I am on Paxil. It competes a little better with my crazy hormones!,,,,Today, I don't have "dark " days, just moments, I haven't had a panic attack since (Lexipro), I don't do my OCD thing, (I used to count everything!), I don't obssesively worry, (but I am a mom, so I still worry), My racing thought have slowed down to the speed limit, (most the time!) and I'm happy! Please, please, please, go back to your doctor. Try another med. If I would have kept using the ones originally prescribed, I would either be dead or huddled up in a corner with a bottle of Jim Beam!! Really. You can e mail me!!
