The movie was based on a true story about a boy child that was possessed by a demon in the 1940's
Reagan was a 12 yr old very artistic little girl whose mother was an actress, some guy dropped the little statue thing outside her door & she became possessed. her mother couldn't figure out what was wrong with her so she took her to the doctor, after the doctors ran numerous tests & brain scans on Reagan they said they have no clue, try some religion, the mother found a priest who had all kinds of issues with his mom dying, Reagan puked on him, she smacked her mom, twisted her head around & acted like some spoiled little kids that I know. She caused the old priest to have a heart attack & die. The young priest "Demi' beat the crap out of her told the demon to come into him, it did, he jumped out the window & died, Reagan was fine with the exceptions of cuts & bruises till the sequel to the movie came out in which it shows Reagan (still played by Linda Blair) as a teenager. That movie sucked & was not as good as the first one.
