I got a bad addiction how do I break it?

Question:
I'm addicted to computer... and the need to have a girlfriend. I need to quit these somehow. A point somewhere two weeks ago, I was working and excited. Now I'm just on the computer scanning on website playing games and wasting my times. I need help. Is there a way how to break these habits?

Answers:
ur just bored im like that too at the moment lol cus finished work for summer (work with children), im on the computer a lot more and its borin me already but i cant stop cus ther nohin else to do, also why do u need to quit wantin a girlfriend lmao thats a good and normal part of huma kind lol.

jjust go out and make sure you see people or u will go into urself and feel scared lol i did wen i was 16 spent a week indoors mostly in my room, go out do some hobbies, spend time with ppl out (u wont get a girlfriend stuck inside all the time)
u just got alot of free time people wont understand how much fun it can be try to pick up a sport tht will help u
Why is it wrong to spend so much time on a computer?
ok man there is what u do for u to fix your problem is to lock your com away or have all game del all cd which contain game broken or taken away call your interent provider and ask to block the major sites u go to eg hotmail gaming onlin game ect
then find a job and starting doing local sport that way your heath improves and u get stronger and your chances of getting a girlfriend will become greater
i know what u mean i am always on my pc but i am not addicted because i do other things, well your first step is to shut the computer down completely and go out of the house go to the arcade or something since u like games and maybe u meet a few friends there who u might like to hang with, basically all u need to do i leave the pc off until u need it.avoid the temptation by staying out of the house.
wow man, i use to be the exact same way as you. i would play games all day... i would spend every minute online playing my favorite game. i would talk to my girlfriend on the phone while playing, blow off my friends, blow off dates with my gf.. finally, one day i had enough. i stopped playing for 3 days straight. i wanted to die at first because it was very hard to do, but with each passing day it got easier. now its been about 2 months since ive even played that game. i still go online, but only about 10 or 15 minutes a day. you deffinately need to break that habbit. its a very bad one lol... trust me, i know
Time is your life,, what you do with it is your choice.. but in absence of any creativity. one tends to get occupied where he can forget himself easily. .. this occupiedness becomes so obssessive that it takes the form of adictions,
it happens with computer, work

one has to balance every thing, work , rest, sleep exercise, food, love, creativity

You need to develop self assessment where you give yourself specific time limit.. that this is your free time to be on that addictive activity

take one step at a time, your miles are travelled by taking one step at a time .so just be alert to cotroll yourself. this needs will power... set alarm to remind you tha your quota is finished and now get up .. do some thing else..
