Does PTSD interfer with current memory retention?


Question:
I have trouble staying focused and remembering events that are more current than childhood and weren't traumatic. Is this because of my PTSD? I thought it was just a bad memory.

PTSD, if its not dealt with and trauma isnt processed ,it most certainly can interfere with daily living & memory.

Stress can definately affect memory, but so can many other things, medications, artificial sweetners like in diet soda, aging all factors.
