Hi, Renay,
The thing to remember is that everybody has learning disabilities, just in different areas. The other people are lucky. They either got help for theirs when they were younger (due to good luck), or they have one that doesn't interfere with their job.
You are to be CONGRATULATED!! You are WILLING TO WORK!! You are NOT on the dole. You are working hard to overcome your problem. GOOD FOR YOU!
Adults with learning disabilities can go to clinics for tutring, if you have enough money. You can go to community college pretty cheaply, for Study Skills or Reading Comprehension classes. You can ask if you job has an Employee Assistance Program, for some free counseling, just to reduce your stress about the issue. You can join the Learning Disability Association, for information and support. They send newsletters and things, for about $35-$45 per year. You can join one of those Yahoo! support groups called "Daily Support" or something...look on the Yahoo! home page under "Groups". They have groups for all kinds of people to share info. & hugs & support, even daily.
Hope this helps. Remember, you are working TWICE as hard as the others, and you still work. GOOD FOR YOU!
