There is free help available, but no one does it online that is reputable. Call your county health department and ask about free clinics. You need to see someone who can check you out thoroughly. Some depression is caused by medical conditions and can be helped with medication. Good luck and don't give up!
I can help ya for free. I used to be depressed.
The 1st place to start is the Serenity prayer.
>> "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference".
I can encourage you if you wish. Just message me.

In your own hometown there is free counseling...ONE ON ONE. Call the city social work service department and they will lead you to where you can go for help.... If there isnt a listing for that get the number CPS and ask them for the Chapter 8 housing social services division is.. For your depression you need to get to a doctor locally for assessment and diagnosis of the type of depression you have.. Good luck
Hi Sophie,
That hard cold facts is that clinical/major depression will not in all likelihood be completely cured without medication and which you must maintain for life. There are other schools of thought but 'none' not even the so called religious healings have been yet proven efficacious by the medical community. There are also 'no' 'widely' proven alternative therapies cited in any medical/psychiatric journals. Don't get me wrong there are a multiplicity of claims for various reasons (unsubstanciated) by medicine that claim healings but like a lot of other 'false' cures, medical science is still currently for everybody the best we've got; substanciated/
and proven therapies. Don't listen to false claims/advertizers even though many of them may be genuine people that does not make their claims legitimate.
Only you can decide however what's best for you.
Free online couselling for medical conditions is always potentially spurious. Take the chance as you see fit.
Love and best regards, and as alwasy in Christ's affection.

Hi,
I second calling your local mental health community services and finding out what kind of counseling they offer. Usually you can get one-on-one.
If you want online support, I'd advise looking for a solid message board. Try to find one where at least one or two people post every day or two... a mega-community might not necessarily be better, though! Find one you're comfortable with. OR check out IRC chat rooms... often there will be good ones there.
Take care.
