Claustrophobia and Anxiety Therapist in Manhattan or Stamford CT?

I'm sorry I don't know for that specific area. But did you know you can go to your regular MD? From that regular doctor you can get a basic prescription, or a referral to a therapist that they know. Claustrophobia and anxiety attacks are a big deal in your life, and they are very common (though people don't talk about them much). The treatments -- both medical and therapy-related -- are pretty straightforward, and the BEST therapist is one you feel comfortable with. So even if you dodn't have a recommendation, you can decide if you want to see a man or a women -- and if it matters to you if the therapist is older or younger. It is okay to ask them some questions on the phone, like how much they charge, if they have dealt with a lot of anxious clients, how they feel about meds, if they take insurance, etc.
I really wish you well. Anxiety and claustophobia have physical components, not just mental ones, and it's normal to need help from a professional. Nobody should expect to just pull themselves together or snap out of it or any other insensitive suggestions made by people who don't really know what they're talking about.
