About depression?

Question:
so...i don't think i'm depressed because i don't have troubles sleeping or eating or energy loss or anything. but i'm not happy. i am sad sometimes but not as much as a depressed person would be. i have no idea what makes me happy and i usually go on day by day just "living". everything i try to do in life is boring. i just can't enjoy anything. is this still considered depression?? or am i just being a lazy dumbass?

Answers:
You didn't specify your age, but I went through this same thing in my teen years, right through to my mid 20's.
It is a transitional state, not knowing who you are, what you want to do or be, it is a very difficult stage in life.
I still go through days (usually prior to my menstrual cycle more than any other time) where I feel fed up with the world and people in it, discusted with myself and my life-
This is common as long as it doesn't last for a long period of time.
i dont think its depression. maybe its more of a lack of meaning in life, part of which maybe laziness. go find something to do. set a goal or ambition. socialize, meet up with friends. do something extraordinary!
I too have the same problem. I am trying to engage myself in various activities to my interest. I do yoga and meditation which helps me to get better. You can also try this. Say repeatedly that you are happy. You have every thing you want. And this will make u to improve and be patient, that's important. I don't think this will be considered as depression because this period will come in every ones life.
