Adderall without ADD?
Question:
Answers:
This is very common in people who misuse stimulants. Adderall is a potent, Schedule II Controlled Substance. By taking Adderall without the AD/HD it can cause you to develop symptoms of AD/HD because of the way it effects your neurotransmitters. However, the effects are short-term as long as you do not have a long-term history of misusing the medication.
Stop taking Adderall. You're being stupid. You're basically doing speed. It's a powerful drug and should be used only be seriously schizo, bouncing-off-the-walls ADHD'ers.
Why are you taking Adderall? Has a doctor prescribed this to you or are you getting it off the street or what? Adderall is an amphetamine...do you know anything about methamphetamine? In doctor controlled doses for people with attention problems, amphetamine actually helps. However, use of Adderall or any other amphetamine without a prescription is dangerous and illegal. If you are not getting Adderall from a doctor, you should discontinue use. It is addictive, can cause heart problems, anxiety, sleep disturbance and can actually ruin your metabolism for life (so when you stop taking it, you will have a very difficult time not gaining lots of weight). Also, if you are taking medications that are not prescribed to you, you may want to seek out psychiatric help or at least talk to a therapist about why you are doing what you are doing.
Good luck,

First of all why do you take adderall if you don't have ADD? Taking it when you don't really need typically gives the same effects as taking speed.increased alertness, heart palpitations, increased heart rate, insomnia.my opinion is, if u don't need it STOP...if for any reason you think you do need it, or if your symptoms get worse.then go see you physician...hope that helps a lil bit =)

My husband was on adderall for 6 years and is still dealing with the anxiety and other complications from it. Stop before it gets worse. He's been sober for over a year. I wish you could see how he suffered with with-drawls. Search for with-drawl symptoms.
