My boyfriend is the same.. You sound very down, the doctor will help you.. Depression gets worse not better, go get some help
We all have things that go wrong in our lives. You do not say what depresses you. Can you elaborate?
Sometimes its hard to tell if its depression or just a sad time. Doctors are so quick to say oh your depressed take this. Sometimes well I dont mean to preach but that is sometimes God's way of saying turn to me I want to help. At any rate try to find something fun to occupy time find a friend you can talk to. If your depressed for about two months I would go see a doctor dont be scared of them maybe have them check your hormones out and that kind of stuff. Hope you feel better
if your sadness/ low mood continues for more than say two /three weeks they will put you on antidepressants those take several weeks to work before you will feel better , it is more likely you are feeling a bit p--- off because everything is going wrong for you , believe me you would know if you were depressed and i hope your not but only you and the doctor can decide that ,it is impotrtant you do not let it get any worse ,depression is very common and it is best if you do go and talk to your doctor..
So you think you are depressed?

How do you think when you are not depressed?

That is the question any doctor is really asking.

And can you stop and think the same way you did when you are not depressed?

Just for a few minutes daydream that you are no longer depressed.

Really think about that and get all the feelings and thoughts and emotions. Be happy in that daydream as happy as you have ever been.

And if you can do that. What is depression to you?

Anyone can beat themselves up by thinking and pretending that the worst possible thing will happen.

So pretend that something happy is happening.

I know how you feel I have been there.I tried to commit suicide about three times years ago.Just go the doctors and see what they can do.I was put on Paxil and it seemed to help.Just listen to what the doctors have to say. They will probably want you to go to a psychiatrist but don't be scared.I went and they are normally very compassionate and understanding. They do not tell anyone what you say to them either. That is between you and them.If you discover they have told someone.Report them because they should be fired. It is a confidentially agreement. If they break that they should be fired period.I feel for you and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. If you want to email me go right ahead.Maybe I can help you understand it better. It's hard but not impossible to beat.I still have occasional depression but not that much and it isn't distracting to my life anymore like it used to be.Email me anytime if you want to talk or just need some friendly advice.God bless and good luck!

oh hun its all going to be ok just go see a doc they will give you something all you do is tell them how you are feeling and they will help you they wont think you are crazy or anything they will help you it wont hurt it will help 100% good luck
go see your doctor, they wont judge you or make you feel uncomfortable ... the feelings you are describing here are what you need to tell the doctor, if you feel you cant say it, write them down and give your doc the paper, don't feel silly! the first step is speaking out and you've just done that!
Good luck
Only a Dr. can diagnosis but sounds like you may be experiencing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder caused by your experience. This could be treated with both medication and counseling. Don't add meds without the counseling. Also counselors are like medication you need a good fit. Someone who you can relate to and open up to. Ask around just like you would if you were buying a car and want a reputible dealer. You don't want to waste your time and money. You need this so not to repeat your history in your own life. There used to be a stigma with depresive disorders but not so much anymore half of America in taking something to cope so get some help. If you do not have insurance go to your local clinic. My guess is night shift is adding to the issue, especially if you work nights and sleep during the day. Many depressed people also need sunlight. Also many self help books, CD's DVD's are a great source to help yourself along with meds and counseling. Some are not good so ask for suggestions from those who have read them. I personally read a lot of affirmations, quotes daily to keep myself positive. I read lots of books. I just finished "everything happens for a reason" wonderful book. Dr. Wayne Dyer is also another good choice of help books. . .It takes all we can come up with in this day and time. Good luck to you. . .
Awww.I feel really sorry for you.I'd go to visit your doctor, your psychiatrist, and a couple of other medical people. If that doesn't work, then I'd kill myself.I'm sometimes tempted to,and I nearly did once.
