You know doctors have to keep things confidential with their patients, right? They can't tell others what is wrong with a patient. They have professional ethics and oaths about this. Well morally and legally they are REQUIRED to break this confidence when someone is hurting themselves or others.
You are 12. You CANNOT keep this secret, you MUST tell an adult. Your friend is really asking for help - and you are only 12, you can't help her. Save her life. Tell your parents or a teacher because she does NOT want to die, or she wouldn't be talking to you at all!
She needs help, and she's apparently chosen you to help her get it. Talk to an adult, immediately. If you don't trust your parents or a teacher, call a police or fire station, and tell them. Do it now, it might save her life.
I don't know why you say you "can't" tell... but you can and it sounds like if you don't she will die. It may ruin your friendship but it beats the alternative. You are too young to have this on you. Typically they only tell if they want help.
ask her for her address cause you want to send her a letter..when you get her address call the police and tell them to do a welfare check on your friend...they will do it without giving her your name.she needs help and a real friend you can provide her with both..
she does it for attention
dont b her friend
Call a crisis line (suicide line) and tell them what is going on and ask for their advice. They can call her, get help for her and just as important get help for you. Getting help for her will not make her more likely to od or something, however she may go down that route without help.
You MUST tell someone. Sometimes we have to break promises. Ask your parents what to do or notify the police or a social agency. They will handle it from there. I'll pray for both of you. She needs to ask Jesus Christ into her life and read the Bible (New Testament).
