The church can always help you.
There are a lot of great places out there that might be able to help you with this. Check out your government buildings and see if they have one that helps with metal care. I am very lucky because in my town there is a great place I get all my medication and treatment for free. I have no insurance and no job at the moment so I have no idea where I would be without them.
You can turn to your church or, in fact, any church. They all have counselors who can help you with depression. There are also psychiatrists/psychologists who have a "sliding fee" for payment. They charge per your income or lack of income.
Good luck & God Bless!
Check in your area to see if they offer counseling that does a sliding scale, based on your income. You never know, you might can get free or very low-cost counseling.
Check out your county health office. And...if you were on anti-depressants before you were pregnant and you aren't breast feeding then you really need to get back on them. I was in your situation too and you need to take care of yourself.
hello, you can go to your local mental health clinic, get evaluated, and go to regular visits, and they have a sliding scale payment option that is based on your income, it may be free of charge, but if you miss visits you will be off the program all visits and meds are free
Most Mental Health Counseling Centers have a sliding scale fee. What they require you to pay depends on your income, bills and all that kind of information. Usually a token amount is expected.
Check with you County's Mental Health Department and they will be glad to help.
Or.you could explain your feelings to your pediatrician/Doctor and they could make a referral for you to the Mental Health Center.
There is lots of help out there for Single Moms !! Don't hesitate to ask for help !!
It might be postpartum but it may a resurgence of your prior depression/ You should go to your doctor to ask him/her for a recommendation to a therapist. Most hospitals have some sort of mental health clinics that offer services on a sliding scale fee based on what you make. Try and get help as soon as you can. You need medications to help you feel better and also make it easier to take care of your daughter.
