Do wax figures creep you out? I know that they can't hurt you but they give me the creeps. Is this a phobia?
Question:
Answers:
Yea, they are pretty creapy, and yes it is a phobia.
Automatonophobia: Fear of ventriloquist's dummies, animatronic creatures, wax statues - anything that falsly represents a sentient being.
there is something definately unnerving about the way they look thats for sure.
sometimes old paintings starring at me freak me out too, oh and stuffed dead animals, the more time you spend around the the less creepy they seem. I'm sure its more of an instinct then a phobia.
I think they can be a little creepy also!
Hypnotherapy is probably one of the best ways to cure a phobia.

Doesn't bother me. Could be a phobia.
It sounds like old trauma from some other thing, incident or time. Could also be gotten from mother/father/family members. Check out www.peakstates.com and you might find some answers there.
Good luck, Ria
