Should I throw stuff away or save it for a yard sale ?

Yard Sale. Although you do lose quite a bit of money when you have a Yard Sale, (I doubt many people would hold a Yard Sale saying they're selling it for a few billion bucks) it is better than just throwing it away. It may not be proft--but hey, its something!
If it is stuff that other people can use (i.e. clothes) then no, do not throw it away. If you do not want to have a garage sale you can take it to goodwill. Why throw away things if someone else could use them?
well considering global warming and preserving our resources,i'd try the yard sale "Imediatly before the season passes" the throw away the unsold if ya can't give it away to the last patrons of the sale;) WORD!!
Instead of throwing your stuff away, consider donating it. Depending on where you donate to, you may receive a receipt for your taxes.
Ahhh considering this is posted under 'mental health', I take it you want to get rid of little what you've got.mentally. Well, the most feasible way to recycle organic stuff (since there is no known brain transplantation made or no one that I know of purchasing measly minds), you should try donating your 'stuff' to the homeless for them to burn to get warm. That would probably be the best use for your 'mental stuff' anyway. Have a nice day.
save the memories- give away what ppl will buy and you won't keep nor remember
if that stuff is ugly trow it away
if not dont
:DDD
Why throw it away when you can make money out of it. Stuff you think is junk and useless may be usefull towards others.
You could always post stuff on craigslist, that's easier than having a yard sale. Craigslist is like the eternal yard sale and you can make money, too. There's also Freecycle.com, where you can post about the stuff you don't want. You don't charge people for it, but they have to come to you (or meet you somewhere) to pick it up. That's a great way to get rid of stuff without ever leaving your house!!
Barter barter barter! Try finding your city on www.craigslist.com and post under the 'barter' section. If no one wants to trade anything, you can make a post under For Sale, and list all your stuff in one post. If that isn't fruitful either, there is a section for 'free stuff' where you can give it away.
Ok, if is still good don't throw it away give it to someone who will like it and receive the bless instead of saving it for a yard sale. Remember there is bless in giving than receiving.
I understand your dellima completely and I think Elizabeth says it ALL , And I'll add to that;

I help my neighbor set up and tend her yard sale frequently and by the time you put up the notice or ad, you get the tables out and display them, you lower prices as the day wears on just to get it out of there, and then there's the cleanup and you still have stuff you don't want! It can make you a mental case.

GATHER IT UP, DROP IT OFF AT A CHARITY AND YOU'RE DONE WITH IT. Believe me, it feels great!! And you know you've done something good for the less fortunate! IT'S A WIN,WIN way to go.

Take it from a recovered packrat; don't keep things you don't want! ! If by chance you ARE one, it gets easier every time.
